Dillistone, which supplies recruitment companies with software, joins Aim on Thursday after a placing to raise £650,000.

The company has developed a software programme, called FILEFINDER, which guides recruitment firms through the selection process, from the initial vacancy to hiring.

Dillistone describes it as a sort of "hand-holding" tool, designed to increase recruiters' expertise and access to various databases.

The system is in operation at more than 700 firms and in-house recruitment division in 40 countries, in a sign of the increasing focus on technology to manage the hiring process.

Dillistone hopes to use the Aim admission as a way of raising its profile and set out the groundwork for employee incentives schemes.

Jason Starr, Managing Director, says joining the junior market will be an important milestone for the company.

"We have enjoyed spectacular growth to date and the reaction that we are getting from each new client confirms that we have got many years of growth ahead".

Rowan Dartington is broker and adviser.
